Trailheads

While there are multiple trailheads in the San Gorgonio Wilderness that lead to San Bernardino Peak, we'll take the most direct route via the Angelus Oaks Trailhead.

Itineray

We will meet at the parking lot at the trail head. The road to the parking lot can get a little big rutted out, so we may meet at a paved parking lot close by.

We'll have a quick breifing of our trip and a gear check, then we'll be on our way up about 6 miles to Limber Pine Bench where we'll set up camp. The views from Limber Pine Bench are some of the best you'll find anywhere in Southern California. We'll practice some skills, make a trip to the creek to get some water, then takle the 2.25 miles up to the summit before dinner.

This hike moderately strenuous.

We'll have dinner, watch the sunset from camp and call it a day.

The next morning we'll take our time breaking down camp, making breakfast and packing up since we have a short hike back down the mountin to the trailhead.
